Transforming Communities Through Innovation

Based in Mathare, Nairobi, we work at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and community leadership

Youth-Led Innovation

At Motobrix Innovation Centre, youth are not beneficiaries — they are builders. Our model is grassroots-driven, participatory, and justice-oriented. We believe innovation must come from the margins to truly change the centre.

Every week, we recycle over 4 tonnes of organic waste from Mathare into affordable briquettes used by households, food vendors, and local schools. This not only keeps trash out of rivers and streets, but also reduces reliance on charcoal and firewood.
